1. Appointment Policies + -

When books are open, there will be a form available for you to fill out on our website. Only those projects that have been chosen will be contacted for booking. Remember not all projects are my cup of tea, and I won't be chosen just because you made a request.

Once you have been contacted by me via text, no other method will be done, and I'll never send a link for payment. I only make deposits via cash in person or e-transfer to my email. You are required to pay a deposit. Deposits are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable between people or other tattoos. The deposit will be deducted from the final price of the tattoo after GST.

As of Jan 1, 2023, you must be 18 to get tattooed. No drugs, drinking, or rude behaviour will not be tolerated during, before, or anytime in or around our studio! We pride ourselves on the fun and safe environment we keep for our clients.

2. Consultations + -

Consultations for your tattoo are always complimentary. When booking a consultation, please email or call us at the shop to book a time to talk. Before your consultation, we ask you to email us your tattoo ideas and possible photo references. Include the location and approximate size so we can prepare tattoo ideas before the consultation.

These consultations are where we help you finalize the style of tattoo, size, location and colours. We also template/map out the location and proportion for your tattoo. You will receive tattoo proofs based on the consultations and changes, which you must approve before we can book your tattoo appointment. The same process applies to all tattoos we do, large pieces, coverup tattoos or adding to existing tattoos.

If, after the consultation, you want to book your appointment, we will require a deposit to secure your appointment slot. We also require basic information to book your tattoo at this time (email, birthday, phone number).

3. Cancellation Policies + -

We require a set amount of time ahead of your booked appointment to be able to cancel your appointment. Failure to contact the shop via text or email (we need a written response), if you have any questions regarding these terms please don’t hesitate to call the shop for clarification and to discuss your matter.

If you wish to change your appointment within our allotted time prior to your appointment date we can accommodate a one time change. We will rebook your appointment that fits best to your needs without loosing your deposit. Deposits can only be used for the same tattoo your appointment was originally booked for. If you cancel or don’t show up for your appointment, you will lose the deposit and be required to provide a new deposit to rebook an appointment with your artist.

Small to medium pieces require two days' notice. Large pieces and sleeves require five days' notice.

4. What to do before your Tattoo + -

Drink lots of water and eat a good meal. Don’t consume alcohol within 24 hours of getting your tattoo, as this causes blood thinning and excessive bleeding during your tattoo.

5. When Is My Tattoo Done Healing + -

While it varies from person to person, it takes approximately 2 – 3 weeks for your tattoo to heal initially. You will know it’s healed when there are no more skin flakes/scabbing present. Please do not shave over your tattoo or put any scented lotions/products on it until it is fully healed.

Also, do not scrub the tattoo with any clothes, luffas, or anything else while showering. Use your hand gently. At the same time, pat dry with a towel and no scrubbing.

After a shower, it is recommended that you air dry it with a hair dryer only if you have a cold setting or in front of a fan until it has fully closed.

6. Caring for my Tattoo + -

Aftercare for your tattoo is quite simple. Keep in mind less is more! Here are some general guidelines to follow for the weeks following your appointment:

When you remove your bandage (your artist will advise on when), gently wash with warm water and mild soap (we like Pears, Dove, or Ivory). Pat, it dry with a clean towel and let it air dry afterwards. Do not put any creams or lotions on it, (just let it breathe and dry on its own) and ensure any clothes and bed sheets/blankets you use are clean.

Repeat this process two times per day: gently wash, pat and air dry, and leave it alone. Keep it clean and away from dirt, germs, and everything else. Air dry it when and if you can.

When it starts to flake or scab (usually 2-4 days after your appointment), you can use a small amount of unscented, mild lotion (like Aveeno) to ease the discomfort and dryness.

Remember, less is more here – a small amount of lotion will go a long way! Do not use scented lotions or petroleum-based products (vaseline) on it.
Do not pick or scratch! This can and will result in poor healing and loss of ink. RESIST THE URGE.

Avoid the direct stream of water on your tattoo, do not soak your tattoo in water, and avoid steam for two weeks (i.e. NO baths, pools, hot tubs, saunas, and/or steam rooms).

Keep your tattoo out of the sun for a minimum of 2 weeks. However, the longer you can keep it covered, the better. (2-3 months is ideal) After it is healed, always ensure you use a high-SPF sunscreen on your tattoo to protect it from fading.

If you have any signs of infection (warm skin, red, swollen, and painful) – please let your artist know so we can further instruct you!
